Picatinny Rail profile specifications
Picatinny rails are now offered by Weigand for various
applications. Picatinny rails are generally used for Military type applications
for uniformity
in optics and accessory mounting. The original Picatinny specification is from
1913 and has been slightly updated in recent years. The above dimensions are
generally the same as Weaver type rails but Weaver rails generally do not hold
the tolerances the Picatinny rails are held to.
